IAN CUTHBERT was one of Minchinhampton RFC's founding members and perhaps the foundation stone on which the club was built.
Ian Cuthbert Memorial Trophy
Minchinhampton XV v Minchinhampton RFC President’s XV
Club president Graham Gregory was delighted to pull together players from Cainscross, Painswick, Dursley, Cirencester and other clubs locally and further afield to celebrate the club’s move to its new home at Hollybush following a peripatetic existence since 1983.
A spirited and enjoyable performance from both sides saw some excellent play.
On this occasion the exuberance of Minchinhampton’s youth outflanked the experience of the President’s XV to take the victory.
Ian Cuthbert’s son Alan was on hand to lead the President’s side and present the trophy to MRFC club captain Matthew Austin.
