LECHLADE scored direct from a Liam Moor corner after only two minutes and went on to record a deserved win.
Cirencester League Div One
Poulton 0
Lechlade 2
Facing a stiff breeze Poulton struggled from the start, with most of their passes going to the opposition. They managed only one shot on target during the first half.
Things didn't improve much for them after the break and Lechlade always looked the more likely team to score.
This they did with 15 minutes remaining when Moor got his second from close range. Although Poulton made a determined effort to get back into the game they rarely looked like scoring, and Lechlade held on for a comfortable win.
