Last year's club captain, John Davis shot the best score of 41 points to win Division One, hardly making a mistake in his excellent round.

In second place with 40 points was Graham Morgan who unlike most players of his venerable age is managing to reduce his handicap mark.

Seniors' captain Clive Bennett put in his customary consistent round and returned with 38 points off his nine handicap mark to take third place on countback from John Thurston and John Parsons, who also scored 38 points.

In Division Two, three players scored 37 points. John Slaven is always thereabouts in these competitions and he took top spot on countback from David Golding who has now been placed in three of the winter competitions.

David Bamford, who has also played well over the winter, had a strong outward nine but an ordinary finish which meant he had to settle for third place. Colin Gilbert and John Landau each scored 36 points and took fourth and fifth spots.
