A YEAR after winning the Division Two title, Royal Wootton Bassett U16s have done the double by claiming this season's prestigious Division One championship with a 17-0 win away at Chippenham.

Mercurial outside half Dan Sweeney set Bassett on their way, selling a dummy and darting over from a quickly taken penalty to score a try which he duly converted.

Jake O'Neill then extended the lead when he powered over from a scrum.

Flying full back Scott Douglas rounded off the scoring when entering the line at pace to go over for Bassett's third try.

BASSETT Colts visited a determined Supermarine team and ran out 44-7 winners to maintain their narrow lead at the top of Dorset & Wilts Division Two (North).

Josh Lewanituva scored six tries and the other two came for Tom Fieldsend, who also added two conversions.

Connor Tomley scored for Supermarine with an alert interception late in the second half.
