FIRST met second in this top-of-the-table clash and they could not be separated after 90 minutes.
Both sides battled hard but neither was able to make the breakthrough such was the resilience of both defences.
Cashes Green pressed in the second half, with the Vale keeper having to make a couple of good saves to preserve his clean sheet, but the game ended with points shared.

A YOUNG Vale thirds team visited league leaders Hawkesbury and battled harder than the scoreline suggests.
In torrential rain the going was tough, but Hawkesbury took their chances well, adding three points to their tally. Vale will take much from the game into their next league match against Woodchester.
