THREE goals in ten minutes ensured Didmarton took the spoils in this Stroud Division One derby in tough windy conditions.
Stroud & District League Div One
Didmarton 3
Tetbury Town 1
Didmarton got an early foothold in midfield and were able to maintain the majority of possession, with half chances falling to forwards Best and Keveren.
It was Tetbury who created the half's best opportunity, however, with only a last-ditch goal line clearance from Tom Sparks keeping the visitors out.
The second half was a scrappy affair and it was Didmarton who took the lead when Simon Best drove a shot into the bottom corner on 55 minutes.
It was 2-0 after an hour when Tom Redpath supplied a cross for John Clark to head against the bar, with the alert Keveren following up to tap in from close range. Didmarton's third goal came five minutes later when some great work from Redpath gave Sparks the opportunity to hit a dipping volley from the edge of the box into the Tetbury net.
Tetbury pressed hard in the second half and they pulled one back via an own goal.
Didmarton's sixth consecutive win leaves them second in the table.
