Glos Northern Senior League Div 2.
FC Barometrics 2.
BIBURY, back in the Northern Senior League after a long absence, shared the points with FC Barometrics in their seasonal opener.
Bibury started well, Ashley Rockley having a shot well saved before Chris Haynes’ chip was cleared off the line.
Further pressure led to their first goal midway through the half. Scott Huband saw his shot saved, but the ball fell to Rockley, who side-footed home.
Barometrics came close with a header from a corner and Bibury keeper Steve Luce did well to save a free kick.
Bibury kept creating chances, however, and ten minutes into the second half they doubled their lead when Rockley raced on to a long goal kick from Luce, outpaced his marker, and finished well.
Four minutes later, Barometrics pulled a goal back and then levelled matters when their striker beat Luce to a loose ball before toe-poking home.
Bibury were then reduced to ten men as Danny Brunton received his second yellow card.
The hosts still almost managed to pull off a win, Keylock shooting wide and Kanne Outram firing a shot over in the closing stages.
