Stow-on-the-Wold 92 Gosford All Blacks 0.

AS THE score suggests, Stow won this game at a canter having dominated in every department thanks to a clinical and professional performance.

Nick Cafearo opened the 14-try haul after slipping through several tackles. Turnover ball then saw James Holmes skate down the wing and score in the corner, though his dive resulted in his having to leave the field injured for a while.

Stow then disrupted a Gosford scrum, the ball squirmed out and Craig Chapman reacted the quickest to claim the try. Another turnover in midfield saw Louis Chapman break and he offloaded wide for James Ford to score.

The next try came after a great break from Joe Nott saw him race clear with one man to beat, but he passed to captain Tim Peachey for the run-in.

Just before the break, a loose clearance from Gosford fell to George Roddan, who beat a couple of defenders before slipping the ball to Holmes for his second try.

With Cafearo converting five of the tries, Stow were out of sight with 40 points at the break.

The second half proved even more fruitful and Holmes scored two early tries after some slick ball handling.

Ben Ulmer then got on the score sheet after a break by Holmes. From the restart, Henry Teare collected the ball and made ground before offloading to Alex Kelly who raced in from distance.

Four more tries followed; two came from Roddan, the last after a 40-metre run, Louis Chapman drove over from close range after the forwards had made good ground, and Nott completed the try-scoring.

Cafearo clearly had his kicking boots on, converting six of the second-half tries.
