World silver medallist from Daglingworth nominated in Triathlon awards

STEVE YATES, from Daglingworth, has made the shortlist of six fighting it out for the GB Age Group Triathlete of the Year prize.
The coveted 2012 British Triathlon Awards will be announced at a glittering dinner set to take place on Saturday, November 17 at the National Motorcycle Museum in the West Midlands.
Yates retained his British age group Championship in 2012 and subsequently returned from Spain with a magnificent silver medal in the World Long Course Triathlon World Championships 45 to 49-year-old category.
