GOLF: Ace Joan peaking at 84

JOAN BUTLIN proved this week that her golf is peaking - at the age of 84.
Joan had played golf for more than 70 years before registering her first hole in one last autumn and on Tuesday she made it two aces in less than a year at her home course, Minchinhampton (New).
Last autumn Joan holed out at the fifth on the Cherington Course; on Tuesday it was on the sixth hole of the adjacent Avening circuit.
"My father would love to have seen this. He encouraged me so much when I was young," said Joan.
"Sadly, it will not go on the Hole-In-One board because I wasn't playing in a competition."
