Clydesdale Bank 40: Leicestershire (264) v Gloucestershire (19-1). Match abandoned
10:11am Tuesday 28th August 2012 in Sport
LIAM NORWELL produced his career best one-day figures of 6-52 before Gloucestershire’s final Clydesdale Bank 40 game of the season against Leicestershire was abandoned due to rain.
The home side were bowled out for 264 at Leicester, but only four overs of Gloucestershire’s reply were managed when the game was brought to a halt with the score on 19-1.
Gloucestershire finished third in Group A with five wins and five defeats.
Meanwhile, batsman Chris Dent has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a dislocated shoulder.
It has been a frustrating season for the highly rated Thornbury youth product, who was on the comeback trail from the fractured finger that kept him out for eight weeks when he suffered the injury whilst playing for the seconds against Worcestershire last week.
Gloucestershire face Northants in their final home County Championship game of the season, starting next Tuesday.
