Bourton Roadrunner's member Steve Edwards who is on course to finish 500 sub-3.30hr marathons next month
NORMAL service was resumed at the Chester last weekend for marathon man Steve Edwards who clocked his second fastest time of the year, finishing in 3hr 6min 50sec.
This was one of the few marathons that he had never run before so he enjoyed a new route in absolutely perfect weather conditions.
With just four more sub-3.30s required to reach the 500 landmark, the November 11 finale still remains on course.
However, it's also still possible for him to reach the 250 sub-3.15 landmark by or at the same time - Chester was his 247th - and that would be the icing on the cake !
Also this week, Edwards was pleased to secure some sponsorship from specialist compression sportswear company Sub Sports who will now be supplying him with much needed kit.
It's off to the Leicester Marathon this weekend, for Edwards. This will be followed by Abingdon the week after and Preston the week after that - and then it's the big one!
