Back-to-back losses for Swindon Wildcats

English Premier League.

Peterborough Phantoms 2 Swindon Wildcats 1.

The low-scoring match was due to both netminders Damien King (Peterborough) and Dean Skinns (Swindon) winning their respective MoM awards. Despite being without Finnish import Matias Perkkio and defence man Joe Baird, the Cats held their own after going behind to an early goal from Phantoms forward Tom Carlon.

In the second period, it was again Peterborough who got on the scoresheet when veteran forward Jeff Glowa found his way past Skinns.

The rest of the period saw both netminders tested severely with neither backing down.

A minute from time, the Wildcats did eventually find a way past King, import Michal Kapicka linking up well with Aaron Nell to halve the home side's lead.
