Bibury FC race to second place in Cheltenham League

Cheltenham League Div 1.

Gloucester Elmleaze 1 Bibury 7.

BIBURY moved up to second place in the league as striker Scott Huband scored four goals for the second Saturday in a row.

Bibury went straight on the attack with Ashley Rockley going close and Gary Heaven prompting a great save from the home keeper in the first five minutes.

The first goal came soon after from a Kanne Outram lob and Huband was on hand to score the second when Darren Parker's shot came back off the crossbar.

Outram and Huband both had further shots well saved before good work from Parker set up Huband for his second goal.

Parker then scored his first goal of the season to make it 4-0 after great play from midfielder Russell and Outram.

Huband completed his hat-trick after being played in by Matty Brunton before the sixth goal came right on half-time, Huband flicking a cross into the path of Rockley, who finished well for his first goal of the season.

Elmleaze pulled a goal back at the start of the second half following a fine move down the left. Both teams then continued to go forward without creating any end product.

Bibury replaced Russell and Outram, who had picked up knocks, before Parker went close with a shot and Huband hit a post.

The final goal came via a long goal-kick from keeper Luce, which Huband raced on to before rounding the keeper for his fourth goal.
