Bibury gain revenge over Charlton Rovers

Cheltenham League Div 1.

Bibury 3 Charlton Rovers 2.

IN-FORM striker Scott Huband netted a hat-trick as Bibury twice came from behind on Tuesday night to avenge a recent narrow defeat by Charlton and take a hard-fought three points.

Charlton took the lead on ten minutes when Bibury failed to deal with a corner and although they created chances of their own it took a top save from Bibury keeper Steve Luce to stop Charlton adding to their lead.

Bibury levelled the score when a Kanne Outram cross was finished off by Scott Huband.

Bibury started the second half the better team and saw a couple of chances go begging but on the hour they fell behind again when a long ball through the middle was finished well by the Charlton striker.

Bibury went back on the attack and Huband bagged his second goal after great work from Darren Parker.

With the light fading and time running out, a draw was looking the likely outcome but with three minutes to go Bibury were awarded a free kick in the corner.

Josh Russell floated over a great ball and Huband rose the highest to head home at the far post for the win.

MoM: Scott Huband.
