THE new season in the M4 Karting Cirencester & District League got underway with eight matches played, writes Phil Smith.
In Division 1, last season's champions Down Ampney got off to a winning start with a narrow success over South Cerney, while runners-up Real Fairford lost by a single goal to newly-promoted Bibury Reserves. Elsewhere there were wins for CHQ United and The Beeches.
In Division 2, Corinium Sports, Sherston Reserves, Kingshill Sports and newcomers Lechlade Reserves all got off the mark with wins.
