SHERSTON-BASED Rachel Stanley has just returned from two days at The Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead after winning a class on her horse Carneval De La Flambe Blanc (aka Bob), a 10-year-old bay Warmblood.
Twenty-year-old Rachel has only been jumping BSJA for about 18 months so the victory represents a huge achievement.
Also, she has only had Bob for approximately ten months.
Rachel has another horse, Quidelle du Reverdy, who finished fourth in a class the previous day.
Rachel's success came in the Royal International Amateur 1.10 Championship.
The win qualifies her to jump in the All England Jumping Championships held in the International Main Arena at Hickstead later in the year.
Rachel, who works part-time at Kington Langley Stud near Chippenham, drives herself to shows all over the country.
