Stroud High tennis squad
SOMERFORD KEYNES sisters Laura and Jenny Eales are part of an exceptionally strong Stroud High team which plays in the National Schools' Tennis Championships at the Graves Tennis Centre, Sheffield next week (July 9-12).
Team members Alicia Barnett and Laura Eales both have world rankings and are well supported by the rest of the squad – Megan Webb, Jenny Eales, Sophie Barnett and Sophie Hall.
Stroud High, who are seeded at two in the event, have had a fantastic season.
Alicia and Laura won the U18 County Cup at the Gloucestershire Schools Doubles Championship held at Cheltenham Ladies College without dropping a single game.
Jenny and Sophie were U16 runners-up to the High School for Girls and Megan and Lara Fair were U14 runners-up to Dean Close.
The U15 Stroud High team are also the Aegon Team Tennis County Champions and will represent Gloucestershire in the regional rounds of this national competition in September.
