Sheston Reserves beat Down Ampney Reserves while CHQ United Reserves triumph over Bibury Reserves in cup semi-finals

Two outstanding cup semi-finals are witnessed Despite continued rain, Combat Splat Paintball Cirencester and District Football League has more or less caught up with events and, with luck, the season will end on May 12 - a few days later than originally planned.

With all the major issues settled in the League interest was focused on the Cups. The two outstanding semi-finals were completed. In the first one Sherston Reserves defeated Down Ampney Reserves to reach the club's first final since joining our League.

The final one saw CHQ United Reserves come from behind to defeat Bibury Reserves - their first Cirencester League competitive defeat of the season in the Alexcars Junior Charities Cup.

The first Final of the season saw The Beeches win their first silverware for a few years when they won the Alexcars Senior Charities Cup by beaten Real Fairford 3-2 at The Corinium Stadium.

Bank Holiday Monday saw two finals at Fairford Town's ground. The first saw CHQ United's Reserves hand out a second defeat of the season to Bibury Reserves whilst winning the CIA Mills-Roberts Memorial Cup Final 2-0. Later it was CHQ United v Down Ampney in the CIA Arthur Shipway Memorial Cup Final which took centre stage. At half time it looked like CHQ United were going to make it a double when they held a 2-0 lead but League Champions Down Ampney fought back to force extra time and then went on to get the winner.
