Cheltenham League Div 2.
Bibury FC 1, FC Barometrics 0.
NINE-MAN Bibury edged to a narrow win over FC Barometrics after having two players sent off.
With the league title wrapped up last week, Bibury took the chance to change the team around and started well with Sean O’Neill heading just over from a James Keylock cross before Ben Wyman brought a great save out of the away keeper.
The home defence were dealing well with anything the visitors had to offer before Todd Boucher was booked and then John Austin very harsly sent off.
Bibury still created chances, with Keylock twice being denied by the visiting keeper.
Bibury broke the deadlock just before half-time when Wyman scored from close range off a Matt Brunton cross.
Danny Brunton went close from long range early in the second half and the visitors’ keeper then made good saves from Ashley Rockley and Darren Parker, while Scott Huband also had a couple of good chances to score.
A long mazy run by Harry Deacon ended with a shot just wide of the goal and late on Rockley was denied by the keeper just before he was the second Bibury player to be sent off.
