FOOTBALL: Cirencester Town & Swindon Town games off (From Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard)

Cold snap takes its toll on football programme

TODAY'S Weymouth v Cirencester Town game in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier League has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The Swindon Town v Burton Albion match in League Division 2 has also fallen to the weather after a 10am pitch inspection despite the best efforts of the home side, which included the use of a heated dome.

Swindon remain hopeful that Tuesday's home game with Barnet at The County Ground – the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Area Final 2nd Leg – will go ahead as planned.
