FOR THE last six weeks or so we have been magnificent – we are just a different team compared to the start of the season.

So it was heartbreaking to get nothing out of the game.

We were absolutely excellent and if we had gone and won it there would have been no complaints.

We were just as organised as we had been against Oxford City a couple of games back but, as with the win at Arlesey, we showed a lot more flair and attacking threat going forward and created lots of chances.

Basically, we made two mistakes and have been severely punished on both occasions.

There was a lot of passion being shown in the dressing room afterwards, which would not have been the case until recently.

They all played so well. Nathan, Joner and Reidy were exceptional in the middle of the park; Jon Else was the best attacker on the field, Ben has now got two goals in two games and Mitch worked his tail off for the cause – he just desperately needs a goal.

Of course, losing Charlie Comyn-Platt so early in the game – to another serious knee injuiry – was a major blow. It took the wind out of our sails for a bit.

We had just begun to look settled at the back and Charlie is a good talker and organises so well.

Having said that, we knew that we were going to lose him in January as he is off to Australia again.

But young Dunny moved over to centre back and did exceptionally well and, of course, we have Zak Westlake coming back shortly from injury, too. He would have played in the last Development Sqaud game but he was unwell.
