I was chuffed to bits with the lads at half-time and delighted we stuck at it when fatigue set in at the end.

We were excellent. For 75 minutes, we played as well as any team I have managed.

Obviously, Swindon have a lot of quality but they did not open us up much. We showed a good work ethic and proved that if you press hard enough you can stop good teams playing.

We are a non-league team after all, but we had our opportunities and we showed a real appetite to play when we had the ball.

It was amazing to be in a dressing room at half-time when they were so disappointed to have let Swindon get back level with the last kick of the half.

We saw both at Highworth and here the signs of what Marcus Palmer and Carl Brown can do together up front. They are good mates off the field and I think that shows in the way they play.

Marcus works very hard and that was rubbing off on Browny.

But we were good wherever you looked. If we play like that this season we will have no problem stepping up to the Southern Premier. We have to carry on doing it.

Both TJ Bohane and Rob Hoskin were away on holiday, while Scott Griffin and Scott Mason were out injured.

Mace could be back for the weekend game with Bristol City, but Griff’s heel problem looks longer term.
