WE only got the first goal just before half-time but we should already have been out of sight by then.

They did not have a shot and perhaps they had one corner. Bracknell were young and enthusiastic – but they were kids.

I would never be disrespectful about another team, but if we had let a goal in then I would have had my lot in for training on Sunday.

When the goal did come, it was question of how many.

The pitch was very sticky so I think we did a good, professional job.

We have been good like that this season at places like Taunton and Hayes.

In the first half we tried to get at them too quickly and we were far too anxious. We were on edge until that first goal settled us down.

Jody took his two goals well, but he could have had six.

Hosky and Griff were missing but they will be back for the Mangotsfield game next Tuesday. Hosky was up at Lilleshall for some schoolboy trials and Griff was unavailable.

We have no game this weekend so we are giving the squad Tuesday nnight off while we have a session with the club’s other coaches. The team will then train on Thursday night as usual and on Saturday morning because I don’t want them sluggish for Mangotsfield.

Tom Etheridge jarred his knee at the end of the Bracknell game but it does give him some time to get it right.
