WE should have scored eight or nine to be honest, but I am not complaining.

People said it would be easy for us because Taunton were on a poor run of form, but we went there last year when we were flying and only got a draw.

We still had to do the job and you have to give us credit because we did not let them play and we got about them really well.

It was a good professional job, although we were a bit wasteful if I am being hyper-critical.

We have a nucleus of great characters and they are certainly not getting carried away by being top of the table.

Carl Brown, who has his knee operation on Tuesday, would dearly have loved to sign off with a goal. Perhaps he was trying too hard. He is a going to be a real miss for us.

We decided to leave Griff on the bench because he needs a rest and even by his own admission he has not been at his best lately. He gets battered every game and is covered in bumps and bruises.

We thought we would use the pace of Carl and Rob Hoskin attacking either side of Jody Bevan.

Rob has done exceptionally well since coming in from the Academy side and played very well again.

He missed a couple of chances before he got the first of his goals and he had to be very brave to get the second.

I was delighted that Jason got his goal when he came off the bench.

He has had to be very patient but he really attacked his header and it was a fine goal from a set-piece which was especially pleasing.

Tom Etheridge missed the game with suspension but he will be back involved for the Uxbridge game at the weekend and we hope to have the Matt Sysum loan from Gloucester City sorted out by then, too.
