WINDSOR are top of the table and everything is going well for them, while we are rebuilding.

I didn’t think we got the rub of the green and a couple of incidents turned the game.

I thought it was reasonably even until their second goal and I was very disappointed with the ease with which they scored it.

How can you leave their best header of the ball unmarked at a set-piece? That is worse than bad play Then, 20 minutes from the end when it is still 2-1 we have a decent shout for a penalty. I’ve certainly seen them given for that and yet they go straight up the other end and score 30 seconds later.

Gary Thorne was sent off immediately afterwards and is suspended for next Saturday’s game. He says he didn’t swear, but the ref was very quick to wield the red card.

I am very unhappy about the standard of refereeing in this league.

I had word with him at half-time and I couldn’t believe how far wrong he was about some of the incidents.

It is totally out of character for one of my sides to have five men booked and one sent off. Windsor did not have a single booking.

There were a couple of challenges by centre forwards thinking they can tackle but as for the rest . . .

Scott Mason, who plays for Hartpury, had his first game for us and I thought he did okay in difficult circumstances. He comes well recommended by Marc Richards.

Jamie Reid had another god game – I wish I had two or three more like him -- and Carl Brown looked lively again.

We have strikers at the club who are good with their backs to goal, but Carl gives us something different and will be a good acquisition.

We now have a home friendly on Tuesday against Whitminster for the fringe players and I want to have a look at the club’s 16-year-olds to see whether any are ready to step up to men’s football.
