WE have brought in Paul Casey and Shaun Wimble because we lacked balance down the left hand side. We have been playing right-footers in those positions.

I thought both the new signings played well and the team was much better balanced because of it.

If Cinderford are a top-of-the-table side then we won’t be far away when we start getting some luck.

They had three shots all game and two have flown in. That can’t happen week in and week out. They hardly touched the ball for 85 minutes.

We were absolutely excellent and it was a travesty that we were beaten. At 1-1 I thought there could only be one winner – us.

Our lads worked so hard and they were very disappointed to lose. Our luck has got to change soon.

We had players warming up when Mattie Williams scored his two ‘offside’ goals and they tell me one was definitely onside.

As for Nathan’s disallowed goal at the finish, the ref had already turned back towards the centre circle and yet he allowed himself to be overruled by a linesman who was 50 yards away from the action.

It was a great header back across the goal by Gary Thorne and Nathan has bundled it in. To disallow it was an unbelievable decision. I felt so sorry for the players because 2-2 was the least they deserved.

That was the best away performance under me by a mile and a massive improvement on the Marlow game. They are clearly beginning to grasp what we are trying to get across.
