FAIRFORD’S Ellie Taylor came within one place of winning a medal at the 5th IWSF CableWakeboard World Championships at the Black Sea resort of Anapa in Russia recently.
British U15 champion Ellie finished fourth in the Girls’ competition behind Aurie Bradander from Marburg in Germany.
The British team had a successful event, though gold medals eluded them.
In all, they brought back three individual silvers and two bronzes.
Farmor’s School student Ellie will now set her sights on the European CableWakeboard Championships at Bursa in Turkey next month.
