TWO of the three Cirencester Town players honoured at last week's end-of-season awards will be putting on the red and black shirt again next season.

The hugely-popular midfielder Nathan Haisley returns on non-contract terms, while top scorer Steve Robertson has signed a one-year deal.

Manager Adi Viveash has also moved quickly to snap up striker Matt Williams, who impressed in a brief spell at the club on loan from Team Bath at the end of the season, when he scored in three of his first four games.

Experience has been added to the back line with the transfer of 34-year-old Lee Spalding from Highworth Town.

"We are delighted that Nathan is coming back," said Viveash. "You could see what the club means to him at the awards dinner.

"Robbo picked up my Player of the Year award, but it was a close-run thing with Nathan and Mattie Bulman.

"Robbo impressed Oggy and I all season and did really well to score nine goals in the games he played.

"He showed where you can get with hard work and determination. He could be a big player for us next season.

"Matt Williams did very well when he came and has also signed a one-year deal. For us, he scored against two of the best clubs in the league, Halesowen and King's Lynn."

Viveash revealed that players' terms for his newly-relegated side will be different to last season.

"The deals are going to be more incentive-based," said Viveash. "I want hungry players at Ciren Town.

"We have put Robbo and Matt on contracts because we think they will create plenty of interest in the Southern League Midland and we don't want to lose them."

Viveash added: "We'll need to score 75 goals to go up -- we only got 44 this season - so I am looking to bring in a main striker and another young one."

Of his swoop for Spalding, he said: "Highworth were desperate to keep him.

"Lee is someone who Oggy and I know from our days at Swindon and we tried to get him last season. He plays right back or sweeper, has good pace and character.

"He comes on non-contract terms and will definitely add something."

Viveash will be on the lookout for a new club captain as it is virtually certain that Chris Collins will not be returning to the cub.

"Chris was honest enough to tell me at the awards night that he has had interest from two or three Premier clubs," said the manager.

Doubts also remain over the future of Players' Player Bulman and the Hartpury College duo Lee Molyneaux and Matt Shaxton.

"Bully is sure to get offers because he should be playing higher than Premier level.

"The problem with Shax and Moly is that owing to our ground share with Gloucester City next season we will be playing our midweek games on a Tuesday night and their college matches are the following day."

Viveash and assistant manager Oggy Hunt will again be signing player's forms to turn out when needed.
