GILL Polley won the Ladies Summer Salver at Cotswold Edge Golf Club.
The format is a bogey/par competition where you score in stroke play format against the course – winning a hole if you play better than your handicap, halving it when playing to your handicap and losing when your score is over handicap.
Gill’s score was two ahead of Mel Lee from Elaine Wheeler, both with one.
DAVE Munn & Darren Chapman took the honours in the Mayor’s Shield with a nett 63 on count back from Gary Swift & Pete Peachey.
The pairs competition is played as a better ball medal format.
John Leighton & Steve Leach came third with nett 64.
The Women’s handicap league team were very happy with their matches this week, winning 3-0 both home and away to Stinchcombe and Puckrup Hall respectively.
The NGFL and Seniors friendly teams were also celebrating after home wins against Lilley Brook (4-2) and Chipping Sodbury (4.5 – 2.5).
