SWINDON Town have appointed Ben Chorley as their new chief scout.
The former Robins defender will be in charge of scouting both present and future stars for the club.
Chorley has been with the team at their pre-season training camp in Spain.
On joining Swindon, he told the club's website: "I've known people involved in Swindon for a little while and I've been down to watch quite a few games when I've not been playing," he told swindontownfc.co.uk.
"It is a massive club, a great stadium, great fans and when it was put to me about getting involved and helping the project move forward, especially under an experienced manager, it was a no-brainer in terms of an opportunity."
The 35-year-old began his career at Arsenal before representing Wimbledon, MK Dons, Tranmere Rovers, Leyton Orient and Portsmouth.
