Swindon Robins hopes of a bright start to the 2018 season were sidetracked by three postponements over the holiday weekend.
The first home Premiership fixture last Thursday at home to a rejuvenated and strong looking Leicester Lions was cancelled 24 hours beforehand after days of heavy rain. Then the Easter Monday home and away knockout cup ties against Rye House were also washed out the day before.
Swindon had a free date on Thursday 12 April and Leicester will thus visit Blunsdon but before then Alun Rossiter’s team are at Wolverhampton and must hope that the side can repeat the October 2017 victory that saw Swindon take the title by a single point after losing at home by four points in a disappointing home playoff final first leg.
