BOURTON ROVERS reached the final of the GFA senior cup with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Longlevens Reserves.

Rovers, boosted by the return of club captain Craig Gilson, started brightly. Chris Cooper and Sam Tyack got an early foothold in midfield and were pivotal in Rovers' opening goal, which was tucked away from close range by Josh Fielding.

Rovers continued to pepper Longlevens goal, but were unable to extended their league by half-time.

Twenty minutes into the second-half and Rovers started to play some free-flowing football and the second goal came after an excellent cross by Adam Webley to find the head of Danny Way.

Webley made it 3-0 from the penalty spot with 15 minutes to go.

Longlevens scores a consultation goal in the 88th minute before their right-back was shown a straight red card.

Rovers face Cam Bulldogs in the final on Thursday, April 19.

Rovers' manager Scott Powles was delighted with the win and is now ready to take his team into the final against table- topping Cam Bulldogs who beat Moreton Rangers in the other semi final, 4-0.

Rovers face Carterton this coming Saturday, 3pm KO in Hellenic league Division Two West at Rissington Road.
