Swindon Supermarine U17s 1
Ashton Keynes U17s 4
ASHTON KEYNES made it back-to-back wins.
They started brightly, Frazer Heal’s deep cross to the far post found skipper Lewis Griffin charging in to head home with less than a minute gone. Ashton struck again soon after, this time Ed Fish making the most of a poorly defended corner. The third of the half came from Charlie Cook who blasted home from close range into the roof of the net.
The second-half came and went with the most of the chances coming the visitors way.
Swindon Supermarine mustered together a comeback attempt as they snatched one goal against the run of play.
Harry Irving’s shot-stopping in the Ashton goal denied the home side a number of chances. Ashton again turned the fixture back in their favour as a lofted ball through found Cook clear through, but unselfishly set the ball to Adam Robbins who slotted home to make it two on the trot for Ashton.
Star Man: Harry Irving, great shot-stopping when it mattered the most.
