CIRENCESTER TOWN are making a surge towards the play-offs after Charlie Griffin’s in-form side made it back-to-back wins to move up to 12th.

Ellis Dunton's second half 70th-minute strike handed Cirencester Town the points at Bishop's Cleeve.

Earlier, former Cirencester Town striker Jack Watts forced Thom Jonkerman into a save.

Cirencester almost made it 2-0 when substitute Henry Spalding fizzed a shot wide after good work from Forest Green loanne Tommy Anderson in the 75th minute.

Hot-shot striker Ben Whitehead was denied a late goal for Town and Anderson hit the post in the dying embers.
