Ashton Keynes U18s 1
Wootton Bassett 1
IN-FORM Ashton Keynes shared the spoils against Wootton Bassett
Under-strength with just 10 players, Ashton suffered an early blow as Jack Fogarty picked up a dead leg.
The best chance of the half came from a sloppy defensive error, but it was Ed Fish’s last-ditch sliding block, which stopped the home side taking the lead.
However, Wootton Bassett nosed ahead after the break, but Ashton snatched a point with 10 minutes to go. An ingenious piece of play from David Arnett, who cut across the front of the Bassett centre-backs, spotting the cunning run from Charlie Cook and a back-heel from Arnett, which allowed Cook to pounce.
Star Player: Ed Fish - outstanding defensive display.
