Ashton Keynes YFC 4, Avonvale U18s 0

ASHTON made it four on the trot with a convincing victory over mid-table Avonvale.

Having overturned the visitors in the reverse fixture two weeks before, Ashton went in confident of coming out on top and 20 minutes in Charlie Cook was on hand to slot home after a well-placed through ball from Frazer Heal.

Moments later, a driving run down the right from Lewis Griffin created the opportunity for the cut back to find none other than Cook in for a quick second.

Taking a two-goal lead into the second half, Ashton went on to create chance after chance. It only took a few moments before a Heal corner found Griffin in at the far post to head home.

Soon after Lee Plaistow set up Josh Curtis who hit a home from close range and seal the victory.

Some outstanding goalkeeping from Harry Irving enabled Ashton to hold onto their second clean sheet in a row.

Ashton now look to build towards next week’s big cup draw against Malmesbury Vics which could be a tight game if the home side keep the wind in their sails.
