CORSHAM PRINT WILTSHIRE SENIOR LEAGUE

Purton 2, Ludgershal Sports 0

ALTHOUGH not as clinical with their finishing as they were the previous week, Purton collected another three points and kept a clean sheet with this 2-0 win.

Over the 90 minutes the team were not at their best but dominated the game with the visitors rarely in it. Purton suffered and early loss, losing Joe Dorey with a hamstring injury and saw Jack Duckers and Inman Baines both missing good chances.

Once again the management team were not happy with their players form and to the players credit there was a better display in the second half.

Five minutes into the second half Purton took a 1-0 lead when George Drewitt netted following a corner kick. Purton were well in control with Andrew Bilko in midfield and Sam English, Purton's man of the match, in defence. On 65 minutes a great pass by Joe Skudlarz sent Jack Duckers away, rounding the visiting keeper for Purton's 2-0 lead.

The management team will need to see their players step up a gear when they visit league leaders Cricklade Town away this coming Saturday, kick off 2pm.
