Cheltenham League Div Two
Hanley Swan 2
The Beeches 11
ANOTHER good performance from The Beeches saw them comfortably beat third-placed Hanley Swan and keep their lead at the top of the league.
Quick passing and good defensive work saw a very one-sided game with Joey Mansell and Scott Smith playing neat one-twos which cut through the Hanley Swan midfield with ease for much of the game.
Beeches scored some fine goals and their defence kept the hosts at bay for the majority of the game with good work from Robert Mant, Dan Fragnoli, James Moorcroft and Brad Robinson.
The 11 goals came from: Scott Smith (3), Matthew Walters (2), Joe Stratford (2), Joey Mansell (2), Alex King and Brad Robinson with the pick of the bunch and his first for The Beeches.
The goals worthy of an individual shout out were Walters' drive into the top corner, Stratford’s Cruyff turn and low driven shot, Smith's free-kick and Robinson's free kick screamer from 35 yards.
Beeches are at home to Barometrics FC on Saturday in another important game.
