North Wilts League
Avonvale U18s 0
Ashton Keynes U18s 3

ASHTON KEYNES gained back-to-back wins in the league to keep up the pressure on rivals Brinkworth and Marlborough with their 3-0 victory over Avonvale.

The early exchanges saw Ashton dominate, particularly down the right flank and their first goal came from a deep Josh Curtis cross which found Charlie Cook unmarked in the box. Cook volleyed home to give the visitors the lead.

Minutes later Cook turned provider as he set up skipper Lewis Griffin’s long-range effort. Ashton took a two-goal advantage in at the break.

The second half saw a midfield battle between the two sides but Ashton’s David Arnett fired home from another wide Curtis delivery to put his side out of sight.
