Pewsey Vale U15s 0

STRATTON Youth U15s swept majestically into the quarter finals of the League Cup with a convincing win over Pewsey at home on Sunday.

Starting strongly, Stratton went ahead after 15 minutes when Max Macdonald volleyed in from a Joe Kingsley Anaisie cross.

Dominating the rest of the half, goals from Sonny Williamson and Barney Kimber made the half-time score 3-0 to Stratton.

Pewsey resisted the Stratton pressure at the beginning of the second half, but the home side still had all of the play and it was inevitable that they would score again.

Williamson added his second with a good solo effort to go around the keeper and chip in, followed shortly by Kimber heading in his second from a Harvey McCullie corner.

MoM: Sonny Williamson.

STRATTON pushed second-placed Newbury all the way in an even contest which was level at half-time thanks to a Riley Willis goal.

But they couldn't hang on for a deserved point.

STRATTON'S cause was not helped by two unfortunate own goals, but they continued to battle all the way.

THE Stratton U10s had to battle hard in a home game against Supermarine. Despite an amazing goal from Caleb Kavanagh which gained him MoM, and an outstanding performance from James Bassett in goal, the result didn't quite go their way.

The U9s had a cup match away to Lydiard Youth with, for the first time this season, all squad players available.

The U9s started brightly with Dylan Morse being unlucky not to break the deadlock. Their pressure eventually told with a Louis Kingsbury cross being turned into the net by a Lydiard player.

Louis added to his own tally and we then saw a contender for goal of the season as Arthur Quili jinked past several players and slotted calmly past the oncoming goalkeeper.

Fin Stratford and Idris Thomas-Jones completed the scoring.

Ben Seakins and Archie Walker did well in defence while Ez Allen was brave to carry on after a heavy challenge.

Jaden Wiltshire had his best game with some brilliant play on the wing resulting in a well-deserved MoM award.

The U8s enjoyed a home game against Stratton Wasps. The bitter wind and rain did not stop the flow of goals from Xavier Elderby-Harris, Liam James Smith, Frank Ward and Archie Miller who found the back of the net multiple times which gained him a well deserved MoM. An outstanding performance from all the players
