CIRENCESTER head pro Ed Goodwin shot a scintillating four-under par 64 in the latest Gloucestershire & Somerset PGA Medal at Stinchcombe Hill.
But on a day of brilliant scoring, Ed's round was good enough only for fourth place behind the winner, Stinchcombe assistant pro Mark Pitcher who posted a 62 on the hilltop course high above Dursley.
Joint runner-up was Giuseppe Licata of Chipping Sodbury with a 63 which saw him reclaim the lead in the Total Triumph Order of Merit as early-season leader Russ Berry was unable to play.
Naunton Down’s teaching pro Pete Garratt hit a 66 to earn sixth place.
