Purton 0
Devizes Town Reserves 2

DESPITE an excellent first-half showing Purton sadly fell away in the second period allowing Devizes Town Reserves to take all three points, writes Alan Eastwood.

Jack Duckers and Carl Shepherd combined early with Duckers just shooting wide and Purton followed that up with several other good chances although failing to convert them, as has often been the case recently.

The second half turned out to be a nightmare as the team left its determination and fighting spirit in the changing room. The visitors took full advantage of Purton's lacklustre showing to notch two goals.

Purton's joint managers Neil Lee and Liam Lewis were bitterly disappointed by their team's lack of spirit in the second half and will hope for a positive reaction when the side travel to Bremhill FC on Saturday.
