BOURTON ROVERS, the reigning Uhlsport Hellenic Div Two champions, have signed prolific goalscorer Jack Morton from North Leigh United.

He will got straight into the squad for their next match at Didcot Town Reserves in the Bluefin Sport Hellenic Challenge Cup on Tuesday (November 14). Kick-off 7.45pm.

Rovers will be without a game for the second Saturday in a row as their scheduled league opponents Faringdon Town now have a County Cup fixture.

Rovers manager Scott Powles said: "Jack will bring us plenty of pace up front and has an eye for a goal.

"He will improve our attacking options and joins us with an outstanding goal record.

"I am delighted to get the transfer completed. Jack spent some of pre-season with us but decided to join North Leigh.

"He is keen to get playing after being out with an ankle injury for the past three months. He will add serious quality to our team.

"Jack has always been a player I have admired and the lads hold him in high regard. We can’t wait to get to work with him."

Rovers centre half Charlie Vinton is closing in on a return after being out for six weeks with knee ligament damage.

Powles added: "Charlie will bring a touch of class back to our team and a voice that demands respect.

"He is expected to return for our last-16 County Cup tie at home to Bishops Cleeve Development on Saturday, November 25."
