YOUNG Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Thom Jonkerman, 19, has joined Cirencester Town on loan for a month.

Town boss Charlie Griffin was forced to go into the loan market due to the ankle injury suffered by his first choice keeper Matt Wieczorek who has enjoyed a fine start to the season.

Jonkerman is a former Arsenal trialist who joined Darrell Clarke’s Rovers in the summer after training with the club.

The Dutchman has previously gone out on loan to Mangotsfield United who ironically are Town’s opponents on Saturday.

Experienced centre half Matt Coupe has left Cirencester Town to sign for their Southern League West rivals Swindon Supermarine.
