STUART MICHAELIS from Cirencester Golf Club, has won a handsome trophy at the first ever Gloucestershire Seniors County Stableford Final played over 18 holes at Lansdown GC.
Stuart, an 18-handicapper, scored 35 points, to beat players in the 13 and above handicap category.
The overall winner, as well as category one winner, was Paul Mason, a six-handicapper from Chipping Sodbury GC, who returned a stableford score of 36 points.
Mike Helyer, the 2017 seniors captain at Cirencester, scored 30 points to finish fifth in division two.
"I was delighted and surprised to win such a lovely trophy," said Stuart. "I didn't do anything spectacular, just played steadily all the way round."
Stuart had qualified for the competition by finishing runner-up in his category at the Cirencester Seniors Open in May.
