Hospital Cup
JAMES HARDING narrowly beat off a raft of in-form golfers to claim the 2017 Hospital Cup at Cirencester Golf Club.
His net 64 pipped October Medal winner Jonathan Wells by a shot, and Harding also posted the best gross score of 72.
As the name suggests, the Hospital Cup, which is an 18-hole individual medal for men and women, sees entry fees donated to local hospitals.
RESULTS: 1 James Harding (72 - 08 = 64); 2 Jonathan Wells (76 - 11 = 65); 3 Andy Miles (82 - 16 = 66); 4 Jess Brown (77 - 09 = 68); 5 Terry Hambling (82 - 14 = 68); 6 Andy Morris (91 - 23 = 68).
There were a host of birdie twos scored at the following holes: 2nd Andy Miles, Andrew Parffrey; 9th Andrew Bradley, Leighton Rees; 11th Nigel Curtis; 13th Jess Brown, Sandy Campbell, Wayne Collingwood, Clive Montgomery, Colin Ricks, Stephen Titchener; 18th Clive Montgomery, Chris Nevin.
