Stratton Youth U15s 2
THE U15s failed to stop a strong Royal Wootton Bassett side who sit at the top of their division.

Skilful Bassett came out strongly and went two goals up in the first 15 minutes.

Stratton re-organised to strengthen their defence, and managed to contain a dominant Bassett until just before half-time, when they conceded a further two quick goals.

The second half saw sheer determination from Stratton stop the home side scoring again, despite keeper George Tanner being under constant pressure.

The appearance of Harvey Biggs gave Stratton some more creativity in midfield, leading to them finally having some scoring opportunities. James Wickett made a good run to set up a fine goal from the edge of the box strike by Biggs on 60 minutes.

Two minutes later Harvey struck again, curling in a corner kick. Stratton continued to show great determination but to no avail.

MoM: Harvey Biggs.

THE Stratton U8s played an impressive game away against Purton at the weekend. They were caught off guard in the first few minutes but fought back to finish with a well deserved result. Goals came from Harry Truckle, Leo Scott, Frank Ward and Archie Miller who was also awarded MoM.

In blustery conditions the U9s eventually broke the deadlock and, after some great pressing, quickly racked up four goals in the second quarter which proved to be decisive.

The tireless running of both Idris Thomas-Jones and Arthur Quili was fantastic to watch while Dylan Morris, Fin Stratford and Sam Potter showed off some great dribbling skills.

Ben Seakins looked solid at the back and Jaden Wilshire is establishing himself as a classy winger. Jack Cummins passed the ball intelligently and Ez Allen and Archie Walker both did equally well in goal or in outfield positions with Ez getting a couple of goals after cool finishes.

Goalscorers: Ez Allen (2), Idris Thomas-Jones (2), Fin Stratford, Jaden Wilshire, Dylan Morris and Sam Potter.

MoM: Arthur Quili.

The U10s played their first cup match of the season against a strong and well organised Supermarine team. Despite all their efforts they were unable to progress into the next round, MoM was jointly awarded to Jack Miller and Sami Zamiri.
