THE BEECHES seemed to relish their first ever league match on an artificial pitch as they put nine past Pittville United First at Winchcombe School.

The game started slowly as both teams felt their way into the match.

But it was not long before Beeches got a feel for the surface and opened the scoring.

Two goals in quick succession saw the Beeches 3-0 ahead at half-time.

The Beeches proved utterly dominant after the break and Pittville saw little of the ball.

The visitors continued to press and their good play was rewarded with six more goals as the game ended 9-0 with Scott Smith bagging a hat-trick.

The easy three points leaves unbeaten Beeches top of the league.

Also, the introduction this season of rolling subs meant that 16 players were used by Beeches in the match.
