TWO Bourton Roadrunners travelled to take part in the Great North Run last Sunday.
Linda Edwards, who was born in Newcastle and has run in the race three times before, enjoyed the Geordie support and finished with her best GNR time of 2:00.31.
David Rees ran with his wife Sharon clocking a very reasonable 2:20.20. David and Sharon were close by and heard the crowd roar in excitement when Mo Farah crossed the finishing line to win the race.
Closer to home at the Chippenham Half Marathon, Margaret Hollamby overcame some initial setbacks to finish fifth in her age group in 1:51.15.
